How has your journey been this far?
I am having a dream outing here. It all started when I made it to the finals of SaReGaMaPa at the age of 17 and found a mentor in music great Ismail Darbar. Before I knew it, acting assignments poured in. I was a part of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Ghar ki Lakshmi: Betiyann. I was fortunate to get launched by Vikram Bhatt in Haunted.
-
Where do you see yourself in the industry?
I’m still discovering myself as an actor and entertainer. I have zilch training in acting but I am a diligent worker.
-
Tell us more about your comedy Bankey Ki Crazy Baarat…
It’s about a wedding where everything goes wrong. I’m playing Anjali who is a happy-go-lucky and outspoken Himachali girl. The film also starres biggies like Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz and the likes.

Your take on bold scenes in the films?
If the script demands it, I am willing to do it but I will not shed my clothes to sell a film.
-
What happens when a TV star forays into Bollywood?
TV has always been a stepping stone to all the rising stars. It becomes difficult for those who come from a non-filmy background, to impress the audience with their looks and acting talent. TV actors need to debut in the right film.

What kind of movies do you like to watch?
I love watching Vishal Bharadwaj’s films. He is one of the finest filmmakers we have.
